Productions
All songs written by Zhenya Rock except "Folsom Prison", originally written
and performed by Johnny Cash.
Performers
Zhenya Rock (Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Synths)
Tony Whiting (Drums, Voices)
The first full length recording
featuring Zhenya Rock and Tony Whiting, dedicated to
the memory, spirit, and music of the late
Dee Dee Ramone from the famed
Ramones. This
compilation contains 15 new tracks, including the rockin'
track "Dos Vidanya", the title track "Flashback", and the melodic "Food In A Can",
mixed with the artistic Middle Eastern influenced track "All About You", and a rendition of Johnny Cash's
"Folsom Prison (Blues)". With countless number of
hours spent in the studio to record this compilation, Flashback
captures the true concept, spirit, and nature of ZEEROK, and definitely
brings the music back to the people.
"We've had it
with all this hip-hop and dance s#!t that's all over the f*@king radio and
TV. You want to dance? We'll give you something to dance your asses off
to! We're bringing the music back to the fans! This CD captures the heart,
electricity, and soul of what the band is, and what music should be all
about! We know you will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed writing and
recording it, as well as performing them to our fans at each of our
shows!"

Seven Year Itch
i know it's the end,
she started kissing my friend,
she said she worked all night,
but i know it's a lie,
i've been burning nonstop,
turning inside out,
well i know it's the end,
say goodbye to friend,
how come she wants,
everything that i don't,
how come she hates,
everything that i say,
i know it's the end,
she started grabbing my friend,
she said she never lied,
yeah that i see with my eye,
i've been spinning my mind,
wasting all my time,
but who cares it's the end,
say goodbye to my friend

Dos Vidanya
i used to date a girl she was
from Ukraine,
her personality could never be framed,
she said she used to dance for Russian ballet,
and she's got into the USA,
one day she flipped and she called me a fool,
and then she chased me with the power tool,
she hit me hard and it made me i'll,
and then she turned into a power drill,
good times will always find ya,
da da dos vidanya,
good times will always find ya,
da da da da dos vidanya,
some ballerinas from Russian ballet,
got obsession with the meat buffet,
i didn't mind her eating style,
but it started chewing me up after awhile

Flashback
through life's carnival people
look for something,
and i feel like i'm still looking, for your face in the crowd,
too bad i gotta empty house, i could take this people,
back home, and play all those records i've never released,
i got so many songs they won't believe,
and anything i had i was to give,
don't you worry i would be alright,
living through the days of this life,
it got me like a fool when i was blind,
it won't be long and i would be just fine,
ooh yeah carnival people push each other,
and i feel like i'm a freak but i don't care,
too bad they'll never hear the song that's,
tearing up my ear but maybe it's the best that i don't care,
you don't even know what i would do,
what i'll try to do to get to you,
through life's carnival people push each other
and i feel like i'm a freak but i don't care,
too bad they'll never hear songs that are tearing up my ear,
but maybe it's the best that i don't care,
it could make you sick if you'll look in the past,
but if you're negative about it then what you got left,
'cause you know one day you won't wake up anyway,
and if it's eating you up what you got inside,
and you can relax night after night then,
maybe you just having a flashback,
maybe you just having a flashback,

Where Do We Go
nowhere to hide from
fire, burning hate,
from all the mess, where we belong,
we're not the kind who's gonna sit and wait,
we're bring our cannons right or wrong,
and if we won't stop taking that monkey seriously,
we're gonna end up again digging ourselves,
a bigger grave,
can't you see it's getting deep,
does anyone now see the hate?,
so where do we go from here,
knowing here is nowhere,
give me something real,
maybe i'll follow your way,
nowhere to run from fire, burning mind,
from life created by mankind,
follow the system with your own bag of tricks,
control and freedom doesn't mix,
what's created- it could be destroyed in one shot,
and anytime you've got to think of what's gonna be next,
can't you see it's getting deep,
does anyone now see the hate

Because She's Right
tonight she's slamming down
vodka,
with sympathetic friends,
she's telling everyone we're through,
and that makes perfect sense,
she said a relationship is hard,
it takes a lot of work,
besides i need to get a real job,
all my friends are dorks,
i've been putting myself into the souvenirs,
all she's doing now is just shifting gears,
i keep rock n' rolling so i stay alive,
she's out on the weekends working 9-5,
after all the fun we're worlds apart,
because she's right,
tonight i'm staring at the wall,
don't need nobody else,
i'm kinda hoping she'll be back,
and i'll get a second chance,
she said she's feeling up and down,
she don't know what she wants,
i guess i need to get a real life,
like a dog needs a real bone,
i've been putting myself into the souvenirs,
(getting ready for the light show),
all she's doing now is shifting gears,
(going blind but she don't know),
i keep rock n' rolling so i stay alive,
she's out on the weekends working 9-5,
after all the fun we're worlds apart,
because she's right

Meltdown
rocking the night with every
sound,
the party is on it's a meltdown,
one, two, three, four,
i've been running around the globe,
i am here tonight, to rock your world,
gonna do the same in every town,
so put your groove on little baby its a meltdown,
move to west from Siberian cold,
gonna rock my best - never get old,
my mama once told me life's too short to waste,
so lets rock this party the American way,
came over here got off the boat,
traded for the sun my boots and a coat,
three four lets go,
rock the night with every sound
the party is on it's a meltdown,
the way it goes, which way the wind blows,
spending all my money on whatever i choose,
came over here got off the boat,
dried in the sun my boots and a coat,
don't care if it's raining, i'll dance with you,
i never wanted anyone but you

Happy Town
didn't wanna be alone, packed my
things and left my home,
what i found was one bad ass, big happy town,
sprayed my name up on the wall down at the city hall,
met a girl who was just like me alone in a happy town,
we've been down we've been abused,
we both felt like we were used,
chewed up, spit out by one happy town,
if someone told you years ago this is you,
and this what you will become oh yeah,
you freak out, happy town,
so what kind of fool, taking it all inside,
it's like trying to put the rain back in the sky,
don't care what i do - i want to fly with you,
but you just want to stay in happy town

Food In A Can
i live in west Hollywood,
working delivering food,
i get my 300 hundred a week
hoping not to get sick,
i lie to myself every night,
saying i'm doing just fine
but in reality,
i'm sick of the crap that i'm in,
i don't see it stopping soon,
the time is wrong and i am too,
i've put myself away behind,
the mind that doesn't work,
i know i need to crawl away,
it gets too scattered i am scared,
i wanna see myself again,
i'm sick of all that i am in,
i'm the food in a can,
meat for your Uncle Sam,
i want seven Fridays a week,
i wanna date a nice chic, i wanna get out of this cave,
don't wanna be blamed for mistakes,
stop lying to myself every night,
saying im doing just fine,
i wanna break the tv,
from all the "reality",
i'm the food in a can,
meat for your Uncle Sam

Swinging With Myself
the world circulation doesn't follow my way,
i'm gravitating to the other side of the day,
i know i can't be satisfied sitting on my past,
i'm watching the time how it's moving me fast,
it's making me go with the flow of the rest,
like anybody else i'll swim until i drown,
if you found an easy life,
and you want to sell it,
watch for the road signs,
and lunatics,
i'm swinging with myself,
through the universe i found,
i'm swinging with myself,
through the universe i found,
life's still rolling and it's not gonna stop,
it's pulling me up and it's turning me back,
i am moving up ahead until i'm crashed,
you're testing the water but the river's too high,
but you've got nothing better,
so you might as well try,
but you still keep looking on,
why are you here?,
i know this river's gonna pull me down,
and i will figure out the way to get out of town,
i've got my own reasons to stay alive,
it takes me over like a troubled mind,
and i'm swimming faster to the nearest shore,
and i don't really care if i ever survive

All About You
i wanna drink your skin,
i need a taste of your soul,
this is the one i can't hold it down,
it lifts me off the ground,
and i feel so strong,
up and away from this world,
this is the one i can't hold it down,
it lifts me off the ground,
it's all about you,
it always is,
it's all about you,
it always is

Good Times Tonight
what can we say about girl named
Happy?,
she's gotta nice ass, dresses kinda sloppy,
moved to the Hollywood, loves James Bond,
hates country music so she plays trombone,
her beeper goes "beep beep" every night,
she's out for a drink cause she's feeling down,
whatever she's doing works every time,
it's all about good times,
long time ago she used to be a stripper,
gave up the business - still has a beeper,
Happy is a girl that never will be sad,
she makes good bread from classified ads,
she's not exactly rich, not exactly poor,
not a professional, not an amateur,
her beeper goes "beep beep" every time,
its all about good times,
happy guys hitting on happy girls,
its a party time in a happy world,
happy girls hitting on happy guys,
here we go, it's all about good times

Hang Me
i'm ready for the wind to bring a storm,
i'm ready for this life get out of norm, if it don't kill you it will only make you tough,
i'm waiting for my head to crack in half,
i'm driving through the back roads of my mind,
i'm laughing at the lunatics inside,
i keep on going until i had enough,
i'm ready for my head to crack in half,
so hang me upside down,
swing me from the ground,
you were my moon and sun,
it all came crashing down

Folsom Prison
I hear the train a comin',
It's rollin' 'round the bend,
And I ain't seen the sunshine,
Since I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Folsom Prison,
And time keeps draggin' on,
But that train keeps a-rollin',
On down to San Antone,
When I was just a baby,
My Mama told me, "Son,
Always be a good boy,
Don't ever play with guns,"
But I shot a man in Reno,
Just to watch him die,
When I hear that whistle blowin',
I hang my head and cry.
I bet there's rich folks eatin',
In a fancy dining car,
They're probably drinkin' coffee,
And smokin' big cigars,
But I know I had it comin',
I know I can't be free,
But those people keep a-movin', And that's what tortures me,
Well, if they freed me from this prison,
If that railroad train was mine,
I bet I'd move out over a little,
Farther down the line, Far from Folsom Prison,
That's where I want to stay,
And I'd let that lonesome whistle,
Blow my Blues away.
